TEACH Services was registered at the end of 2022 by a group of South Australians who wanted to make a difference. We saw an opportunity to make life better for others and understood the pain of domestic violence, broken relationships and relationships that did not work.
From the start all involved in forming TEACH Services agreed that domestic violence did not discriminate. It was cross cultural, cross religion, cross gender identification. In fact, you are more likely to suffer from domestic violence if you are in a minority group.
That is why our logo represents and adult, a child, and an animal. Recognising the impact on the adult regardless of gender or gender identification, the child, and their wellbeing and on animal safety and wellbeing. That the trauma of a violent relationship impacts all and all need to be supported.
The reason why the organisation is called TEACH is because it represents our goal of providing a holistic service.
Training
- to educate about domestic violence
- provide workplace awareness and relationship growth
- provide opportunities to heal from trauma through workshops
Emergency Accommodation
- Short stay accommodation for adults, their children, and pets
Counselling
- Allowing for healing and recovery
Housing
- Long term housing options to provide a safe and productive life.
Sadly, since the inception of the organisation we have see the rate of domestic violence in Australia grow. Whilst it is our deepest wish that our organisation and others like ours will one day not, be needed, for now we are here to provide support, champion positive relationships and bring about lasting change in the community.
